Why do I need a separate Day & Night Cream?
Night-time is the best time to launch a massive attack on the effects of ageing, because since you are not going out or applying makeup, the formula has fewer limitations. Our Flashback Night Cream drenches the skin in rich oils, botanicals, anti-oxidants and phytolipids. Glory Days Day Cream is formulated to help you face the day. In addition to delivering moisturising ingredients, our Glory Days Day Cream is formulated to create a type of matrix that seals the surface locking in moisture and creating an ideal finish for make-up.
When should I put on the eye cream - over or under the day cream?
Lulu prefers to apply the Eye Balm Eye Cream first, covering quite a wide circle around the eyes. Then she applies the day cream, overlapping the eye Cream on her cheekbones to make sure all her skin is covered with cream. During the day she reapplies the Eye Balm, nurturing the delicate skin around her eyes. It isn’t wrong to apply the Day Cream first, as the two products do not interfere with each other in any way.
When do I use the Youth Juice - under the Day or under the Night Cream?
Either! Originally Lulu conceived of the Youth Juice as a night time treatment for use under the Flashback Night Cream but through Customer feedback we’ve learned that many people, loving the additional moisture, also like to use it in the morning under the Glory Days Day Cream. The Youth Juice Secret Oil contains essential oils which cannot be manufactured effectively within a cream. Whether you use it day or night it delivers additional beneficial ingredients supplementing those in the creams. Both the Glory Days Day Cream and the Flashback Night Creams “seal” in the Secret Oil, so you get the maximum benefit. Try it out and see which you prefer.
Do I need to use the Polishing Pads every time one cleanses?
We recommend using them with every cleansing, but you can adapt the regimen as suits your skin.
Can I use the Polishing Pads over again?
The Polishing Pads are designed for single use, however they are very sturdy. You should feel free to experiment with rinsing them out and using them again. The rougher side will wear down after use depending upon how firmly and how long you rub with it. So you can see what works best for you.
Do I need to use a separate Eye Make-up Remover?
It is best to use a separate eye-makeup remover to avoid getting cleanser (any brand) in your eyes and to target cleansing ingredients which will lift off make-up, especially mascara, with minimal rubbing. Lulu’s Eye R&R Make-Up Remover will cleanse and soothe your eye area and Lulu’s Take-Off Time Cleanser is perfect for the rest of your face.
How often should I use the dermabrasion?
Everyone's skin is a bit different, and generally, people are the best judge of what is best for them. Lulu likes to use the Blast to the Past Dermabrasion 2-3 times per week. Some people use the Dermabrasion more frequently; others use it less frequently. You should judge the right frequency for you by both comfort and appearance. You should feel refreshed and glowing after use of the Dermabrasion followed by application of the Flashback Night Cream and/or Youth Juice Oil. If your skin feels raw and red, then you are likely using it too often or with too much vigorous rubbing. Try out different frequencies to see what brings you the best results.
I have sensitive skin; can I still use the dermabrasion?
Yes, you can still use the Blast to the Past Dermabrasion even with sensitive skin. So long as you do not have open cuts or skin irritations to start, we suggest starting at a lower level of use and build up to a level that is comfortable for you. Start out perhaps once a week using light circular motions in your application. If you are comfortable with that, you can increase both the frequency as well as the strength and duration of application. You should judge the right frequency for you by both comfort and appearance. Do I need a Toner?
A toner or freshener is not necessary and can sometimes be drying. A toner will not interfere with the Lulu's Time Bomb creams so you can use one if you like as long as you don't feel that yours is drying.
Is there Sunscreen in the Day Cream?
While our Glory Days Day Cream does contain some sunscreen ingredients, it has not been SPF tested or rated. The Day Cream can be used in combination with a sunscreen, which would provide you with all the benefits of the range plus sun protection.
Are the ingredients tested on animals?
I am pleased to inform you that Lulu's Time Bomb products and ingredients are not tested on animals. We do not test nor commission testing of our ingredients or products on animals. No ingredients included in the products have been tested on animals for over 10 years.
I am having trouble “opening” the Cleanser Pump.
We are so sorry for your inconvenience with the pump. The pump is in a locked position for shipping. The way to "open" the pump is to turn the nozzle head in a counterclockwise direction (looking down at the top) 4-5 complete rotations. Gently push down on the pump head as you turn it. You might need to hold the throat of the cap to make sure it doesn't turn along with the nozzle. We trust this information will be of help.
